History and matters
Lawtrace Advocates LLP was established in 2014 by two practitioners who began in a smaller room on the same street. The practice moved to level seven of People's Park Centre as the team grew to seven people. Decisions about which matters to take are made by the partners after a first review of documents. Day-to-day running is organised around written attendance notes and fixed office hours.
The practice does not publish milestones, awards, or case results. Its public record is this website and the articles indexed here.
Criminal. Investigations, charges, bail, trials, mitigation, and appeals. Work is described at category level only on this page.
Civil. Contract disputes, debt claims, and property-related disagreements. Pleadings, discovery, and mediation are handled in sequence.
Family. Divorce, ancillary relief, and children's arrangements. Documents are gathered before any application is filed.
Employment. Termination, tribunal claims, and workplace investigations. The employer's process is mapped against the contract.
Regulatory. Notices from regulators, internal reviews, and written responses. Chronology is kept on a single index.
Appellate. Appeal records, written submissions, and post-conviction applications. Deadlines are tracked from the date of the order.
Attendance notes record what was said at each conference. Scope is agreed in writing. Confidentiality is maintained on the file system. Conflicts are checked before any engagement letter is sent. If a matter requires expertise outside the practice, it is referred with the client's consent.
Lawtrace Advocates LLP is an independent legal practice in Singapore. The material on this website describes our work and explains legal processes in general terms. It is not legal advice on any particular matter, and reading it does not create a solicitor–client relationship. Every matter turns on its own facts, and outcomes are determined by the courts and by circumstances outside our control.
